Ive been there!! I waws pushing 20 on a bone stock motor!!! Now I got a bulit motor...but dam that thing blew 3 holes on my block..haha I thought I was gonna blow up with the car scared the s*** out of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(boom08)

Sorry to hear, don't listen to the others a win is a win even if you have to push it 5 miles home. Oh wait that was me, but not in the pro I would have died this car is too heavy.

330Ci...they actually put up a fight? I have never ran a Bimmer so I don't know. Sorry to hear about it but time for a built block!

sorry to hear that man :(

now you have an excuse to go forged..

and next time you race, you'll be driving her home after words on her own power :)

sadly no ems, the beamer actually saw my tailight the whole way, i HAD 260whp so it was a beast, def looking at going forged but damn it's expensive, my warranty will give me a motor with same millege for free so it's either free or cough up $3000 for a forged motor

You blew your motor by modding it and now you want MAZDA to pay.

No wonder dealerships give people a hard time. You got to pay to play.

It's OK, karma will catch up.

warranty? (fuoops)

it's okay, i'll pay more for my next car so you can screw mazda today.

Quick question for ya, you said no you were not running any EMS but your sig has the split second AFC listed...was it not hooked up?

use your warranty.. use it. it's there for that and if mazda would have done it's homwork a little ..like putting a BPT 1.8 instead of a FSDE you woulnd't be there right now..

get the car up and running.. then by a long block at the scrap yard.. and forge it ..even if it takes 4 months.. build it slowly.. it,s alot better than giving out 3000$ if 30 seconds..

what are you talking about?

mazda did their homework and set the boost appropriately at about 5 or 6psi for a reason.. mazda shouldn't be responsibile for a motor that has been modified to twice the boost.. that wasn't their design for a reason.

agreed 100%.

To the OP, there's no warranty in your case buddy, not in a million years.

Yeah if I was in his shoes I know I would take advantage of that warranty. If i'm getting something somewhat free I would def not hesitate to ask "when can I make an appointment to drop it off." If you want to go forged do it, if not then don't make this an excuse to. Good luck though man hope Mazda gives you the block for free.

yeah well if he puts everything back stock he can go to the dealer and get a new motor..

now to all on this forum, name me ONE of you, that, in HIS shoes, would NOT take the car to the dealer and get a FREE motor...

i know i would...

come on now.. his gonna spend 3k$ for a forged block.. why not spent zero and get a new motor in the process..

how many of you have had problems with warranty and you know you did nothing wrong?

well for some unknown reason they didn,t make their homework..

1- some blew their motors with the STOCK boost..

2 - the LSD is crap.. unless welded

3- the exaust maniflld will RARELY go over 60 000 miles without cracking.. ever seen a exaust manifld crack on a bpt ?..oh and it cost 1300$ cdn to replace..

atleast if mazda would have made the turbo system by themselves instead giving this out to callaway

name me ONE compagny who turbocharged a stock N/A motor and put it on sale.. all that have, put better rods and pistons in the least..

geez even buick put forged rods in their 3.8L v6 with 205 hp back in 1992..

so dont say mazda dsid their homework... if they did there would be a zoom zoom boom club thread.. nor a lsd failure list thread..

fr0st, please read all 10 pages here:
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123665485

then you may try arguing your point again. but you'll see how many people do not agree with the decision to have mazda cover the warranty on something that has been modified.

it's worth it for the rest of us to start printing and forwarding these posts to mazdausa. then we'll see how much warranty they offer after reading some bloke running 12 psi all day and then blowing his motor.

ps: none of this applies here, so i disregarded it all.
