Old Lady

didn't you bought that from an old lady (i remember seeing a thread here like that)....for the same car.

Yes its me and the same car. These are the updated pictures as the ones I had last fall were only of the car when I saw it at her place. I had been asked for interior shots by many so this was the updated ones.

Love that cute little old lady for taking such good care of it.

Wow...I love it. Old school first class. Love the interior as well. The two-tone really makes it, and the overhead console is a nice touch. Any close up shots of dials and buttons?

Hello,

I will shoot some shots of the gauges this weekend. I never noticed until the past weekend that the gauges are VERY cool. The plastic cover over them are like a reverse cone outwards. Really neat. Not sure if thet pctures will be able to show this but I will try.

thanks

What's the knob under the right front passenger air vent? Almost appears to be a cig lighter?

Hello,

Oh that little button, the one under the right front passenger vent: its the "Eject Seat" button for when your in a real rush to get off the carzy roatry speeds of back in the day. Some passengers couldn't handle it so Mazda was kind enough to offer passnegers an out if they felt the need.

And the real use:
If I recall after playing with all the buttons switches and dials its a open and close toggel by pulling or pressing inwards for the vent. I guess Mazda cared for the passengers comfort. Does look like a cig lighter though. Mazda had some neat ways of controlling the climate in their cars. The vent controll switchs not only slide from right to left but some you need to pull as well to change from cold to hot or inside and outside air circulation.

Have't had time to take some close up pics of the gauges/dials but the reverse cone is very neat. Will try and do so over the next few days.

Regards

Max

Again thanks and speak to you soon. I wish I was in Japan. If I recal you posted that there are not many old skool rotary's there. I'm surprised. I would think the reverse.

regards

Max

I'm sure there is a decent representation in Japan...I just don't see them often in my area. :)

There are a few car mags specifically designed for Japanese classic cars that are always interesting to check out...Such as "Old Timer" and "Nostalgic Hero"...Great mag titles :D

I've finally started to clean her up

Hello All,

I have finally started to give her a good cleaning and gotten to drive her a bit with a temp transit plate. These are a few pictures taken at a Mazda meet in Laval last Saturday.

She is driving nice and seemed to get alot of attention.

In case its your first visit the begining of this thread has some nice shots of the interior.

And no, the people in the pictures are not me, in case anyone is wondering.

Regards,

Max
