Greetings, and the Lord be with you!
I'm Pastor (Padre) Dave Poedel and I bought a new 2008 CX-9 GT yesterday. My 18 year old son is delighted, as now he inherits the 2005 Magnum RT as his driver.
I have participated in boards like this for my old PT Cruiser, the Magnum and now the CX-9.
First impressions are typical of a new car buyer, with the excitement of a new ride.
This car fits my frame well (6'4", 240 lbs) and is very comfortable. After driving a Hemi for the past 4 years, I rate acceleration as very adequate. The handling is much better than I expected for a vehicle of this type, and I am very pleased so far.
The only issue I have noticed is that when the sun comes up, the automatic headlights do not switch off....are they supposed to? Otherwise, it's just getting used to where everything is located and how this car does things, and that's kind of fun to discover new things.
