Hello,
Bought a new used 2015 GT CX-5 with 46k miles. It had been driven for 1 year 7 months.
What should I be testing to make sure everything works? I have a few month dealer warranty.
I added the navigation module, and I have to say the voice recognition works amazingly well when inputting addresses.
Are there certain things that people have had trouble with?

Call the local dealership and ask for recalls based on your VIN number. Relax, there's no major ones.

Prior to warranty expiring check the belt tensioner in your engine bay. If it is leaking oil it should be replaced under warranty. You've got 14k left.

Not required but I recommend to drain/fill the tranny fluid at around 50-60k miles.

Cabin filters are cheap on Ebay/Amazon and could be changed yourself in a matter of less than 5 minutes with no tools.

That's a lot of miles, hopefully you got the maintenance records. That's what I would be concerned with most. If its AWD has the diff fluid been changed? Were oil changes done at proper intervals? With that mileage the previous owner was doing a lot of driving and may of skipped some maintenance. I would drain/fill the transmission fluid.
Other than that there's not much to do for another 50k.

Yes AWD, and they were driving probably 30k/year. Regular oil changes per the maintenance schedule, according to car fax~8k miles. Differential fluid looks to be coming up soon, around 48k. I drive more like 12k at most per year. The car looks perfect. They must have parked in such a way to get zero door dings.

I believe the serpentine belt tensioner is covered only under 3-year/36,000-mile new car warranty, not 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. But the OP should have some warranty from his purchasing dealer and it's worth to check it out.

Drain-and-fill the ATF is highly recommended like you said, although it's not on the list of manufacture maintenance schedule as Mazda claims its ATF is "lifetime" fluid. ;)

Yes, sounds like you got a good car. As long as the maintenance was done you should have nothing to worry about. Just check with the dealer to make sure the recalls were taken care of (if there were any). I know the 16's had a recall for the fuel filler pipe, not sure if it affected the 15's. Make sure your infotainment software is up to date.

Sounds like the previous owner took care to avoid getting dings, probably was a lease and things like that get taken into account when the car is turned in.
I avoid dings by parking away from everybody or going for an end spot in parking lots.
