I know it's beside the point but you bought a new (I'm guessing new) Mazda5 and there was no manual in the glove box?? Check eBay, it might be there. I think regardless of the trim (sport, touring, grand touring) its the same manual.
I just checked eBay really quickly, they have a whole bunch, around $30 bucks.
