Question about badging on MS6
I just bought my first Mazda product, after years of envying the fun my folks had in their Miata. I bought a pristine 2006 MS6 with less than 12,000 miles through a dealer. I haven't been able to speak to the previous owner and I am trying to figure something out. The rear end of my car lacks any badging at all except for the center mounted flying M. No Mazdaspeed6 emblem on the left side. I've noticed most cars on this forum have this badge, but some do not. Is the badge in place on these cars when new? Don't get me wrong, I like the stealth aspect of the lack of badging (you think? mySLEEPER6), I'm just curious if it was removed by the previous owner or if it is just something that nearly everyone adds on to their cars.
For the record my plans with this car are light performance mods (CAI, BOV) and little more than tint (a guy in my neighborhood has a 5 series BMW that is nearly the same color as my car that looks really sharp with "mirror" tint so I'm thinking of going that direction) and a shark fin antenna. I MAY eventually lower it a bit, but I really want to keep the element of surprise on my side when I run it up and down Dixie Hwy.
