2006 Mazda 3S GT
Hey Mazda'ers!
Im not new to Mazdas, but new to these forums. Ive been hanging out at clubprotege, with my 98 Pro...

Im starting to look for an '05 or '06 Mazda3 now, though. Time to replace my old Pro :(
What price ranges have others seen for fairly loaded 3's?
Ive seen em from $10,000 for a basic 3i, to 22,000 for a loaded 3s.
Im looking for middle of the road, not a loaded 3s, but with leather and a moonroof, ABS. Bose sound, meh, I could install better sound myself.
Hopefuly I can find what Im looking for at around 15-17,000.
Hate to retire my Pro though... its a nice ride, just want something newer...

Anyone wanna buy my Pro? ;)

try lookin at the sp23 edition? that sounds kinda what you are lookin for... though i got a new 04 (one year old next month...) with moon and 6 disc (option package together) for a dite under sticker at 18, 250 iirc...?? i didn't want/need the safety package and couldn't find one with the xenon package... they were sellin like hotcakes this time last year... good luck with the search, and deffinatly search around, and you may be able to find a good deal on a used or new 1yr old....

I saw an SP23 at a lot here, but it was 19k... higher than I want to pay.
But that was just 1 lot, theres hundreds more that I havent even called yet.

Also, someone gave me the idea instead of buying a new car for 15-18k, drop 3-5k for a little TLC on my Pro...
Getting a motor swap, and other upgrades, new paint..
Would still be thousands less than a new car...
I dunno, wont be for another 6 months that Ill have enough to pay cash for the new car :)

I'm pretty sure base MSRP on an SP23 4 door is $19,245. I'm really not sure that you're going to find a fairly loaded one for much less than that though unless you go with a 3i, but then I'm pretty sure you can't get leather. (I've even seen a few 3is in the 19s)

I bought my little 2004 3s 5 door this past November fully-loaded. 6 disc changer, leather, moonroof, tiptronic tranny, and so on and so forth, and I paid just over $18,000 for it. I think I paid a bit too much, but when the 1987 Grand Marquis I had been driving took a dive, I had to jump on it. I don't feel too bad about paying a little much for my 3, as it is a love affair that has made my fiancee a bit nervous.

\You actually got a pretty good deal on your car. Sticker price was probably around $19.5. I would say that is a pretty good deal considering it is one of the hottest selling compacts on the market.

Perhaps. It was really a shoot-from-the-hip decision to either walk everywhere in the tri-state area, or pick it up, so I went for it. But I am completely in love with the car, and look forward to many happy returns from it. Plus, its fun in a bun.
