New to the Forum and new to Mazda

Well, in 2 wks, I am going to go and fight for the MS3 GT. This is one car I have been VERY impressed with. Before I go into the dealer, I have been told to get a MS3 that was made after May '07 due to engine mount issue. Anything else I should know that will give me negotiation power?

Oh ya, what do you guys think of the GPS? I already have a Garmin... and wasn't sure if the GPS is realy worth getting. Is it a PITA to work?

I will miss my 03 VW Jetta GLI tho... :( But looking forward to some much anticipated ear to ear grins.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome

from what I have read on here from folk's that have them.......you are better off with your aftermarket system.

personaly i like my nav sys. I dont like the price of it but there is more i can do with it then i could do withe my garmin but then there are things i could do with my garmin that cant be done with my car. bye the CAI right off the bat o and price you should be able to talk down 2g and if they dont want to play ball feel free to walk if they want the sale they will call are work with you. just remember you dont need this car it is a nice car that you would like to have. mention your looking at other cars specificly wrx, gti, and hell there is always 2008 with new wrx and SRT-4 coming out then

I would try to get them to give you and install a CAI as part of your deal,or atleast have them give you it and you install it.
Also I wouldnt get the NAV if you already have it.YOu cant use the NAV that comes with the car when you are driving,You have to stop the car to use it.

WHO CARES WHEN IF OR BEFORE 07. ITS RECALLED SO IF MADE BEFORE THEY HAVE TO REPLACE! EVERYHTIG ON THE LOT AS OF LAST WEEK IS NOT ALLOWED TO BE SOLd until the mount work has been done! so either way check with them and make sure the work was done! cuase every model basically is gettign fixed.

some at port.

Just buy it. The car is very impresive for the price. You cant go wrong. Plus you have a warranty.

the recall will NOT give you power to negotiate. if it hasn't been fixed on the lot yet, you can take it to service and the will and have to do it for free.

the mazda nav systems are not bad. hondas are the best oem navs, i didn't get it, cause i don't want that crap, and if you already have a garmin, then keep it and don't get nav in the ms3.

with your garmin, you can take it from car to car right? it's portable and transportable?
