Has anyone installed a boost gauge where the cig lighter is? Pictures if so. I won't be using the lighter and was suprised to even see it in the car. I won't be increasing the boost but I nice boost gauge would look nice.

Scott.

not that i have heard of, it would kinda be out of the way there, imo i wouldnt put it there.

Yes, Driver311 has along with a few others if I'm not mistaken. While it looks good, I don't believe it's the best location for viewing while driving.

I don't like that location either, you literally have to move your head down to look at the gauge... I can't imagine how that would work while accelerating, shifting, trying to keep the car straight within the lane, looking ahead to make sure no one or anything tries to cross your path, and keeping an eye on boost. (no)way

I'd install it where the other gauges are...

i plan on putting a defi gauge set there. it may be out of my way like everyone says but i dont think so. i dont check the gauges anyway unless i think something is wrong.

Sorry for dumb question why do you watch boost, I thought you would have a safety in place to protect engine at overboost condition.

I always watch my boost... In Florida, weather varies so much, I always get different spikes and base boost levels. The colder it gets, the higher my boost. I also keep an eye on A/F ratios, just for personal knowledge.
I don't have a boost gauge; I use a DashHawk, so I keep an eye on a few parameters at the same time.

I just like seeing data...watching the numbers toggle back and fourth... (lol2)

But when you are monitoring boost levels after installing a mod, looking down to the shifter area will be inconvenient... Just my personal opinion.
