Also, it would be a big selling bonus if I could find tires with the lip that protects from rim rub. [/B]

Try Falkens. They protect really well!

What's the tread wear on our stockers, 220?
jdsaini said:personally if i was youj I would fork out a few more bucks and get the toyo proxes fz4. they grab the road so much better then the dunlops and with them being a little less hard and more spongy then the dunlops they seem to be better on the transmission. Lets just say with the tires alone I ran 16.2 stock....which is pretty damn good

Our Dunlops on the MP3's are 280 A A. As for a 280 Yokohama being compared to a 280 Dunlop, they should wear differently. It is my understanding that the ratings are unique to each tire and just because 2 different tires share the same rating, it doesn't mean that they will wear at the same rate. My Kuhmo 712 on my Civic were also 280, but those seemed no to really wear at all compared to these Dunlops which are also 280. The Yokohama A520 and Parada wore really fast on a few of my friends cars. We all shared the same kind of driving habits, but it still isn't a fair way to compare them all.
