Going to be installing a new system over the next six weeks. Keeping the old keenwood hu. going with two audiobahn 1506t subs, removing the back seat, (because the new air ride takes up most of the hatch). All my MB Quart components will stay and run off an MTX 6400 amp, the subs will run off a audiobahn 1300hct or 1500hct, not sure which yet. One audiobahn 1 farad cap. digital. Going to be doing this thru thanksgiving and christmas.

ever heard of a tie wrap??? hehehe... nice set up... always liked air bags (on mini trucks though)

Wow dude, lots of wires and cables n shyt. I have been there before also having an air ride system in my car.

I can offer a few tips from my own experience that may help you with the install. If you want all the air ride stuff to be on display and that noisy compressor inside the cabin stop reading here.

I mounted my compressor inside the front bumper on the drivers side.

I also used two smaller tanks, one in the engine bay and one in the rear. It gave me a nice fast reaction time up front and allowed me to put the audio system into the hatch and still allow for some cargo space.

Here's a pic of the tank in the engine bay.

And heres a pic of the finished system prior to a vacum. It had a false floor that allowed you to get at the tank. Oh, and with you rear lines I would suggest putting them through the strut towers underneath the seatbelt coils, that way you can still use the stock panels to cover all that mess up.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with your P5. Looks good already.

I am still going to use the stock rear panels, as for all those wires most of them were for my previous system, in pic 1. It will all be covered with MDF board and carpeted, as for the compresor its not loud at all.

Ok got my subs. I decided to go with a a2300hct audiobahn amp instead of the 1300 or 1500 cause the speakers are 1300watts each and the amp will go down to 1ohm at 2300 watts so it should push them hard!!!
Now I just need to find the amp. (thumb)

Got my subs and compacitors, will posting some before pics within the next two days, just got done taking out the rear seats, and starting to run the wires.

Pics of everything

Here are some pics during my install today, doing the header, got the fiberglass grill on, Gt spec trailing arms are installed, got some of the interior back together, hooked up my MTX amp (come to find out my head unit is not working (deadhorse ) Pics of the audiobahn amp, THIS THING IS HUGE! Its like 2 feet long. Got my box built for my subs, will post pics of that today I hope, made it out of 3/4 mdf, its ported and like 7cu. ft. total, huge b****.
I got some 1/2inch mdf to finish off the amp rack for the interior, that will pretty much cover everything. Still have to pick out the capet. Still have to install the digital dampener, M3 mirrors, and Z3 fenders.
