New Ride

Well I just picked up my first motorcycle today. I have been riding dirt bikes all my life but have not been stable enough to afford a bike. Well I got one today and it is great. It is a 2003 Buell Blast 500cc with 10K miles on it. It has an upgraded handlebar and upgraded exhaust. It sounds and runs great. I just gave it a wash. Unfortunately, I have not gotten even my permit yet for the thing so I cannot ride it anywhere except around the driveway. I go to get the permit soon and today I am picking out a helmet. I paid $1,750 for it which I thought was a great price. It needs a new front tire so that will run me around $100 for the mounting and balancing if I take the wheel off which should not be that bad. I love and and it is killing me not be able to ride it. I sing up for the motorcycle training course soon so that should be a good experience. Everyone that I have talked to who rides said that this was a good starter bike because it was light and nimble and being a 500cc, I can't do wheelies doing 80 MPH. (rofl2)

Nice, a friend of mine had a blast and she loved it. Sold it to get a sv650 since she is riding more highway now.

Yeah, that is the one downfall that it tops out around 80 MPH but I figure since it is my sirst bike, that should be sufficient.
