and am now applying my experience to the MSP's. That is why I kind of get touchy about people saying "it doesn't work because so and so says so" as opposed to "been there, done that"- as you can tell by my replies in the 77 whp thread . I set up the group buy on those a while back (in March), and it has kinda become sort of indefinite. I just installed the XZ Joe P. MBC on my car, and let me tell ya, at 9 PSI it pulls hard!!! It works great, no fuss, no mess, simple install, and great results. Hit me up if you need more of my experiences on this little device.

Joe I think "FCD+" sounds good. You will definatly have a buyer as soon as I get the car.
I have asked this before but got no answer, was there any improvements in the 2003.5 MSP over the current?
I know about the cosmetic stuff but I need to know if Mazda fixed any thing on the sly like Nissan did with the 03 Spec v.

Basically, it will alter the MAF signal below the 4500 open loop switchover to help lean out closed loop operation a bit and hopefully help with the closed loop stumbles the car has. It will also have a built in FCD (fuel-cut defenser) which will be welcomed with open arms by the ones trying to increase their boost that keep encountering fuel cut!!! This will allow any boost levels without hitting fuel cut- HOWEVER, this does not mean that any level is considered safe
Summary- *slightly* improved gas mileage, better cruising and no boost related fuel cut
The unit will be a simple TWO WIRE hookup- one to ground and one taps in to the MAF wire at the ECU (pin 88)- no cutting factory wires necessary. It will also be able to be adjusted to further richen or lean the car past it's preset point for those who want to further fine tune the car!!!
Estimated price will be in the $50-$60 range. A hell of a deal since the HKS FCD just limits fuel cut and is $185

Just so you know aas each of our post are somewhat vague to this extend. i am not calling your product into question or your abilities. I am simply looking into buy an MBC and wanted to consider yours aswell.

If this was back around march then I was avioding the MSP sections from the SRT/4 idocies going on so I wouldn't have bothered looking into that section.

PS- If you plan on buying the package, I will take a couple $$$ off the pair. I have to work out pricing still so I will post the info when I have it. Those of you who have already bought the FPR kit will also get a discount to match the package price
Joe I've been reading just about every post you have on this board just for the pure knowledge alone. I am about 2mm away from buying the FPR kit, which for the longest time I thought everyone was talking about a fuel pressure regulator. But I am also interested in your newest kit that will be coming out soon, the FCD, or whatever you decide to call it. Also I want one of the updated MBC's. I know you mentioned package deals and the such, is there going to be one for all three things together cause bascially that's what I'd be looking for and I'd hate to buy one thing now only to find out it would have been better just to wait and get all three. Thanks in advance, sorry for sounding so noobish but hey it's oh so true...

I don't see why a speed shop would not be able to do the installs. To be honest though, they are very simple installs and depending on what they would charge, you would probably be better off saving the $$$ and doing it yourself.
