New pics of the twins.

The tailights are similar , ends about there. I'm not seeing corolla design in person, i think the 6 looks more similar to the corolla.

Was done for U.S. bumper regulations. Springs are a must asap.

Yeah and from what I've seen with the new GTI they said that because of road conditions in the U.S. they have to raise it 0.4 inches when they bring it over.

Damn we suck. Hmm I live in the worst of it (New England and then upstate NY when at school) and I'm lowered 1.5 inches and it's really not that bad, you just have to be careful. Definitely not suitable for everyone though, but do they really make the GLI to be for the average car buyer? Sure doesn't look like it.

Yea the GLI should be lower then the normal Jetta at least. Not that big of a deal thoe, I'm sure in a few months tons of springs and coilovers will be available.

Nice, I remember when I did the same...

Yeah, not even close to a corolla. Nice looking cars.

I had a 1999 "New Jetta GLS VR6". I should go find pictures of it and post it up...and it did have lots of plastic in the engine bay, even back then. That and my MSP are my most favorite of the 13 or 14 cars I have owned...well maybe besides my 280ZX...

My ex had a jetta and Kristin is right, there is so much plastic you can't see the engine. So annoying...

damnit...i saw kristin had the last post in a thread called "new pics of the twins" and its just a couple cars.......pffft

Yea. I'd rather see the engine than see plastic. it just looks too, simple?
what was the reasoning behind the plastic? just to keep the bay looking nice
and clean, and keeping the engine from getting dirty? what's going on there?
