New Owners - observations

An observation that I have made is that my foot bearly fits between the brake pedal and the console. It will take a little getting use to so I don't bump the brake pedal when going for the gas pedal.
This is with my work boots, my regular shoes might fit in there a little better.

Oh, when I went for my test drive yesterday, the salesman stuffed the plate down on the dash too.

Observations

Just picked up a new 5 Touring in Brilliant Black. It replaces my wife's 13 year old mini-van.

This car is like a Swiss Army knife. Everywhere you look there is a lever or a strap to make something open or fold down.

The drivetrain is very quiet for a small car. The auto trans is very smooth.

The steering effort and road feel are perfect.

The auto climate control is a nice feature.

I noticed that the engine coolant is good for 120,000 miles!!!

The road noise at highway speeds is a little more than I am used to, but not aggravating. There is an wind noise in the corner of the front passenger door. I'm going to have them fix that.

Watch those alloy wheels, they look very susceptable to curb damage.

Alot of car for the money, I think.
