new owner

im a proud new owner of a 2002 pretoge' 5 (stick shift) and i was wounder whats up with my shifter, its very wobbly , like when its in gear, and you take your hand off the shifter, you cant tell what gear it is in, its just wobbling around, and i was wondering if this is just how it is on this car or is it broken?

Have you looked around at all? I could be broken...might need new bushings...loose bolt? You should think about installing a short shifter

my buddies old car was like that, turned out it was his gearbox

but it shifts fine, just when you take your hand off the shifter it always looks like its in neutral

When I bought my car it was like that. I ended up getting a B&M shifter and it's so much better. It's a mod you will love every time you shift a gear.

i think your bushings may be old, pick up a set of kartboy or twm bushings and maybe a short shifter too
