New owner: Near future mods..JoeP FPR, SteedSpeed mani replacement, and VP MBC...

Soo, I've had my MSP for several months now. I bought it upgraded with a CorkSport turbo back exhaust, Tein SS suspension, and a Blitz turbo timer.

I'm about to get fixed what just happened to it...which is the stock turbo exhaust manifold cracking in several places. I'm replacing it with a brand new SteedSpeed manifold.

I just ordered a JoeP FPR and a Vibrant Performance MBC. Is bumping up to 8psi from stock safe with all of this?

Now, I do have another issue. My MSP fart/pops....whenever I tap the accelerator really quick. It doesn't sound normal...is it?

Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated...

if it pops when you turn on the car in the morning or after long time of period i have the same issue, first check the spark plugs and second there is a sensor called idle air control valve, gotta find where is it, because i dont know it, when i catch it out ill let you know.

So my car doesn't pop when you wick the throttle. Yet it does pop erratically on early morn start up and under heavy deceleration during down shifting. I'm leaning towards an exhaust leak due a cracked manifold. I'm actually installing a steed speed manifold at the moment which i hope solves my popping issue.

Just got my SteedSpeed mani installed today. It feels amazing! Hard on your pockets, but it's definitely worth the buy. If you can find a familiar shop who's got cheap labor then you're golden. I took it to Long Road Racing here in Raleigh and they did the swap in 4 hours. I also got all new hardware and gaskets for it. Now, as for the pop during heavy deceleration, I actually heard it even with the new manifold today. So I don't think it's a leak. It's not too bothersome...I just want to know what causes it.

Looks good man, manis arent really that hard to replace honestly. I would have suggested DIY. If you have a stocker I suggest you upgrade the IC, your other mods are going to waste until you get a better intercooler and tune.
