Hello, everyone.
Just under a month ago I picked up an unmolested, adult-owned Black Mica '07 Speed3 Sport for $15k with 25k miles from a local Toyota dealer:
It's my first Mazda; actually my first non-Nissan as it's replacing a 2000 Sentra SE daily driver. I'm new to Mazda but not turbocharged cars as I sold my old baby last year, a GT28RS-powered '92 Sentra SE-R:
Between this and my 2000 Sentra, the SR20 is the platform I'm most comfortable with. Even used to own and run a site dedicated to it. I'm still getting used to that MZR under the hood, but so far (aside from some minor gripes) I absolutely love the car.
Other than shuttling myself to work a few days a week, I will be taking it to the track for HPDEs. Can't wait for the New England weather to get nice again. Looking forward to meeting other MS3 owners who track their cars.
I've done a few small things already: debadged, blacked out reflectors, 38% nano ceramic tint, rear CorkSport insert, and shifter bushings. Replaced the dino with Mobil1 (6 quarts WTF!) and MT-90 in the trans. In the coming few months I will make intake and trackday-focused upgrades like stainless lines.
This site has been really helpful so I registered here and look forward to learning more about this great car and meeting some fellow enthusiast owners. (drinks)
