New owner here

:
2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan
My wife and I picked up a used 2008 Mazda5 sport with 5sp AT on Thursday night. 19500 miles but exteremely clean.

This car really is everything I had hoped it would be. This car is a great solution to carrying 5-6 people and still get good gas mileage. We bought it for road trips and only occasional daily use.

Maybe I can talk her into going to see the tree at Rockefeller Center on Christmas Day now that we can all fit in one car. :)

Congrats! Looks a lot like ours except ours has fogs (it's also an '09). What color is your interior? We got the "sand" color. Looks nice with the stormy blue.

P.S.- former Buffalonian here!

Black interior,

I'm a season ticket holder at the "Ralph". It's a 3 1/2 hour drive but I've got the passion. Go Bills!

Just bought my 5 tonight too:) 2008 Sunlight Silver Sport AT. The 1 year depreciation hit is starting to be more accurately reflected on dealer lots now.

Congrats on the new 5.

I got the same 08 Stormy Blue (only diff. is I got the Touring).

In daylight/sunlight the color really jumps out at you.

(former Rochesterian...not quite Buffalo but still W. NY)

I would have loved Stormy Blue too, but pre-owned car buyers don't have as much choice:) Silver was my second choice.

Looking forward to contributing to this forum! I'm a DIYer as well.

congrats.. our mz5 is 2006 Phantom Blue. We had no preference in color the wife and I picked the 'newest looking' mz5 in the lot.. with plastic covering the seats. and other signs of 'new'. And the phantom blue became our pick.

The color has been discontinued I guess. But this mazda5 looks greenish in direct sunlight, and turns 'blue at other times'.. It is indeed phantom blue.

I can't believe how smooth and fast the little 4 banger is. You get up to highway speed in no time - and you barely know you are going that fast (vs our prior SUV we traded which had plenty of engine and wind noise to let us know we had reached highway speed).
