I'm on my way to Missouri tomorrow to pick up our Mazda5 Grand Touring. It is White with the Redish-sandstone leather interior. My wife and I are happy with this purchase. We think it will fit into the spot our other cars are lacking.
She has a 2002 BMW M5 as her toy and I have a 2000 Subaru RS Coupe that I use for my 80 mile round trip drive to work.
I have a Bastard RX-7 that is almost ready for the road.
We have 1 daughter and plans for another one in the near future. We enjoy camping and lots of weekly social activities. We plan on using the Mazda5 as a weekend warrior and vacation buggy.

What's everyones advice on wheels and tires, luggage rack, and performance mods.
I would like to add some items to increase cornering ability and maybe some power adders.

Is there a list of performance mods that are made for the Mazda3 that will fit the Mazda5?

Thanks to all and HELLO!

Aaron & Sarah.

Welcome and enjoy!

Suspension parts (springs/struts) will fit, strut bars may fit although it's better to get some designed for the Mazda 5, sway bars will fit, that's all I know. Exhaust, intake, etc. will have to be specific or custom.

Clearance in the 5 is better than alot of Japanese sedans, but its no SUV, so beware when you make camping reservations that you are only going to be on graded dirt roads, not mountain passes and Jeep trails. If you plan to take it out in the dirt alot, and have rocky dirt roads where you live, mebbe some 16" backup wheels would be a good investment. Lots of our Northern 5 owners here use them for their snows, and it sounds like you have alot of garage space for tire/wheel storage, esp once the RX is not in pieces all over the floor ;)

Oh, and welcome!!

Just got back from a long trip back from Missouri. Great car. It's going to fit the empty slot in our car requirements quite nicely.
I averaged over 29 mpg on the trip back.
