New Muffler and Resonator Delete

this is with the corksport short ram intake, resonator delete, and some muffler i got for 30 bux lol

i love it =]

but id like to hear some critiques/comments.
 
i like it, but i don't... I think we need a better video, 0-3k 0-5k and 0-limit

since i can't see the car drive away, it sounded like an 1996 automatic honda accord :-(

lol it does sound weird in the video. ill make a 1080p with a cleaner mic cuz its really deep/bass and that messes with the mic.

also it is an accord/civic/universal muffler haha!

just a res delete and a 2.5in straight thru muffler =]

thinking of (but prolly not cuz its already really loud but in a goooooood way) removing the 2nd cat for maxium brap/fireballs
 
No fireballs since you'd still have the primary converter on the manifold. Also there's no triangles under the hood so no braps for you! Lol

no fireballs youre right=[ but nicer backfires =]

no rotary braps =[ but there are lesser cool braps.

also i think it sounds good, when you make yer new vid throw in a sick downshift when you get back to your camera!

its more of a joke for turbo cars and antilag.

but i think my next exhaust move is to take the cat back (straight mid pipe to muffler) and increase it to 2".

then maybe high flow cats

i have an AT so downshifting is bad manually. itll heat the tranny like a volcanoe. but ill do its once.
 
Brap is usually referred to the loping idle of a ported rotary engine. Piston cars don't brap usually
 
I love the way these cars sound without a real muffler hehe SO DEEP!

my friend who has a niceeeee speed3 was next to me at houston coffee and cars.

and since everyone revs hard when leaving, i decided to have fun and go WOT (LOL) he said he was amazed that a 1.5 could sound so deep and throaty without sounding like rice cans jangling inside. ive gotten several good compliments about it so far. i may take the muffler off and put a glasspack under the car and run a cat back straight pipe (im about to increase the pipe to 2in)
 
This may be a dumb question, but how does this affect your MPG?
hasnt at all. i like that i can hear the exhaust cuz i can hear the throttle even more than the intake. so i cann know how open it is when i drive. based on fuelly and my own calculations (aka math wizard friend i know) im getting better mpgs. but that may be the way i drive now.

b4 when i would drive my car to 0 miles i would get around udner 300 miles b4 fill up

now im getting over 330 and thats only at 9 gallons. i need to run empty one day and see if i can get 400 on a/t
 
This may be a dumb question, but how does this affect your MPG?

At WOT, it dropped mine from 12:1 AFR to 13:1 AFR. So technically, it should aid in higher MPGs since it's running a little bit more lean. I'm not sure what it did at part throttle, the dyno was obviously WOT :)

stock (im at the end) youll hear mainly intake:

stock with res delete (again at the end,slightly louder/higher, still mainly intake sound you hear):

will call it stock since the piping is stock (stock with res delete and 4in straight thru muffler):

2.5in straight pipe from the 1st cat and a smalllll resonator. (so 1st cat- 2.5in straight all the way to mini res and tip):

im in love with the sound of the 2.5 straight. but lost some low and gain some high. but a turbo will fix all that.
