New MS3

Congrats and welcome. A dealer with unsold 08s left thats kind of strange.

I thought so too-but they bought a ridiculous number of cars-then they built a new dealership, put a bunch of them into storage...and then '09's came in so the 08's somehow wound up staying in the warehouse (they originally had over 50). The GSM started advertising on cars.com and that's how people found them. The day I was buying my car they sold eight cars from the warehouse. It's less costly to sell the cars that just came in (because the MFG is financing them for 30 or so days).

It's a great car and I got a kick ass deal, so I'm plenty happy!

Okay-I need a little help with posting:

How can I quote more than one post in my reply? It's 1am and I can't reply to everyone by doing it one at a time.

So, for everyone else-

Thanks for the welcome reply. I look forward to learning a lot from everyone!

Try clicking the button labeled ' "+ ' right beside the quote button. Select multiple message this way, then on the last quote you want to select, just hit the "quote" button. This should open a new page with the multiple quotes ready to go.

And are there any more 08's still for sale? Do you have the dealer information/location?

Thanks for the information!

I don't know what's left-they're on cars.com in Evanston, IL at Autobarn. There were only a couple left (the fully loaded ones)-mine is the 'stock' GT because I didn't want all of the other stuff.

If you contact them-get in touch with Mike-he's the GSM. Great, no-BS kind of guy. Easy to deal with overall.

I paid ~20k for my GT. I originally looked at used ones with less than 10k miles but they were only 2-3k less than a new 08.

Welcome! Congrats on the purchase. Your Username reminds me of Lucky # Slevin.

Do you think many people paid attention to that in the movie? I didn't catch it the first time...

I'm loving this car! The shifting has a slight learning curve (from other cars) but it's been a lot of fun to drive. I'm used to torque steer from my Maxima.

I'm forcing myself to wait a month before I start swapping things in/out.

I just looked at the postings-they jacked up the prices from a week earlier-looks like they're ~1k higher now.
