New MS3, Traction control light is on. Nice!

Put 400 miles on my MS3 in the last week. Took it out this morning and the Trac Cntrl light came on and stayed on. Called the dealer and the service manager told me that was a first they had heard of the trac cntrl failing.

I'll take it to the shop next week. (pissed)

You guys got any clues?

Thanks

pfft.. who needs traction control? :p

if just the traction control light is on and not the CEL too.. then I'd say it's just a burnt fuse that's making the light stay on or something else insignificant.

stupid electronics...sometimes i think these companies just make these car way too complex than they need to be. but yeah if there's no cel, then it's probably no big deal...keep us updated on the situation

sounds like a lemon. I'll take it off your hands for 15 thousand.

good luck getting it fixed- that's why god made warranties! :)

Yeah definatly let us know cause I'd be curious what they have to say went wrong. Hope its nothing too major!

Traction control failed because...

I spoke to my service guy today. He said that they called Mazda tech support first thing, because it's got only 630 miles on it. The Tech suspects the ABS Module, and one is being over-nighted to the dealer today.

I was offered a loaner car, but turned it down. Since my 2000 Nissan Sentra SE with 219K on it is still runnning strong in the role of work runner.

Will post the final outcome shortly.

Zoom, ABS module didn't fix it, so they ordered a combo switch that will be in on the 18th. "don't really know what a combo switch is"
