New Ms3 Driver HELP ME

if your just racing a straight line trun the dsc off, its traction control and stability control it cuts the power applies the brake etc.. its good to have if you loose contorl but in a straight drag your better of with it offf
 
Just disable the DSC and leave at @2800 rpm. Launch at too low a rpm and you'll bog, too high and you'll incinerate the front tires.

a couple of tips since your new, if you get the cold air intake youll be able to hear the turbo sounds really coool, and if you take off the resinators and the muffler the sound is awsome and its not to loud or expensive

How much like $260.00? which one should i get? and dont i have to redirect where the intake takes the air? wont it suck water if its realy poring out side? wont i use more gas with the intake? wont it mess with my engine check light? (boom02)

DSC (from what I understand) corrects understeer. If you are making a turn at speed it gives more power to the outside wheel.

Traction control is a different system that keeps the wheels from spinning off. It limits throtle if the wheels are not gripping the road. This is the system that is active while under acceleration. Before you start the car hold down the DSC button around 5 seconds then turn the ignition. It is pretty easy to chirp these tires while trying to accelerate through a corner.

I only turn both off for auto-x. You will see how overpowered this car is even in boost limited second while trying to come out of a 20 mph turn into a straight and it takes you a couple seconds of chirping the tires to get the car moving.

What type of racing are you doing?
 
OKay im going to get the Mazdaspeed3 CAI n tint my windows. THATS IT. I'm broke as it is. I think thats enought for now right?
 
it wont suck in water unless you park in a lake with the engine running, and cp-e is the best bet, i have a mazdaspeed version and its great but the boosts spike to high becuase of the increased air flow cp-e designed thier maf sensor housing to prevent that. thats better i dont know if other vendors do that but i know mazdaspeed doesn't and i feel the effects... it runs great don't get me wotg but if i floor it in the upper gears the boos spikes and the competer cuts the fuel becuase its not tuned for the additional airflow, cp-e version helps with this issue with thier engineered maf housing.

How do u turn the traction back on?... I race short drag races when a car cualifies to go against me. I have eight points on my license, i have to be good till july 27, 2008 then i would only have 2 points. What is Auto-X? teach me stuff i'm a sponch. plz. (uhm)
 
a boost guage is a must too, i have mine bolted on my steering collum its perfect!!!! thats also how i can tell my boost is skpikeing to 20psi in the upper gears

the dsc is reste after holding it down just by restarting the car

cp-e is custom performance engineering, www.cp-e.com, ive ordered the cp-e stanback system it can be tuned for there cold air intake not to mention other mods , look on todays posts they posted the "first 400hp speed3" just yesterday. I f you want real power and a better running motor there stanback system or the xede is good!, but the cp-e is ony 650 bucks and its supposed to be more sophisticated

You turn traction back on by pressing the DSC button again or turning the car off and back on. No way to turn it back on without turning the car off and starting it with DSC button held down again. It is like going into race mode where you have more direct control over the way the car handles and gets power but it also makes it more unruly for daily driving applications.

Auto-x is the most fun you can have in this car other than track racing :)

Basically it is a short 45 second~ course set up out of cones. Cars go 1 at a time and try to get the fastest time in their class. Courses are relatively slow and you make time by control of throttle and brake through turns and driver ability rather than the power of the car.

Sweet man. I appriciate you guys taking the time to help me. Im realy intrested in buying a CAI n tinting my windows mayby get that boost guage. I'll be talking to you guys. Im getting out of work now lol. Where u people live? Im in NY. I hope u dont get annoyed of my car questions.
