NEW MP3 OWNER! Squeak question...

Hello all, i just purchased an MP3 a couple weeks ago, and i love it. Question...When i drive over street humps or large dips, at times i hear a squeak coming from the front suspension? Is this normal due to the way the suspension is set up, and with the front strut bar? Thanks for any help. -

i have a squeak too. It's normal. There might some kind of a bushing you can get from the dealer to aleve that problem, but I'm not sure.

where are you located? if its cold out where u live then, yes. Its just your shocks ... Tokico.

when the car warms up you will notice it decrease or even go away .. wont really notice it in the summer at all....this is the front end u are talking about right? if it the rear then its the CLUNK

actually its due to the urethane front suspension bushings, think about it if it was the tokicos wouldn't the rears have the same sqeak?

yeah and your car is also a ES and not A MP3:rolleyes: :D

mp3 will sqeak forever, the only way to fix it completely is to turn up the radio and ignore it....or buy a diff car.

LOL I hear that!!!:D

yup my tokicos do it to. i think its just its been cold outside and it may take the gas or piston rod assembly to warm up, it does not warm up as quick as your engine, so i guess thats why mine squeak even when my engine is warmed up.
