Help with scuffed wheels

I finally got me some wheels. Picked up a set of brand new motegi FF6's for nearly $250 off retail (Thank you Ebay!). I'm still waiting for the lugs and tires, but I figured I'd go ahead and post up some pics now.

They're a little scuffed around the outside of the lip (not like curb rash, just like rubbing against the box they came in or something). I dont know if all of them are like that since I've only opened one, but does anybody know an easy way to get rid of this? Just minor scuffing on the lip and at the apex's of the spokes. I'll make the 3rd pic really big so you can hopefully see this.

EDIT: I just realized how bronze they look in these pictures. They're not bronze, definatly gunmetal. I'll try to get some pics outside in natural light soon.

I'm not keeping them though. Some recent financial problems have come up, so I have to sell em. I'm gonna wait a couple weeks to see if it pans out, but they're not being mounted for at least 2 weeks.

you will NOT rub with +42 on a 7" wheel.. because it is the exact same thing as a +48 on a 7.5 unless you have some massive rubber on them.

I'm gonna be running 205/40 parada's, so no real danger there.

Thanks pretzel (thumb) (first) That's partially what attracted me to them. I thought "One te-37, or four te-37 look-alikes"

All four of them actually cost less than one te-37 (naughty)

According to Rishie's fittment recipie, a Protege5 with a +42 on a 7" wheel will rub in the back. Mine are +45, so I've never had the problem. I'm just goin by the numbers.

(evil)

Good deal!

yes, well, I was going by personal experience. I have +45 offset on 215.35.18's and I am slammed...

I do understand that p5's supposedly have like 3mm less clearance, but thos wheels will fit fine, especially with 205-40's...

I beg to differ. my +42 5zigen rims with 205/40 paradas rub even with shaved fenders already. and they are 17x7

what springs do you have? and have you gotten an alignment yet? Mine rubbed a bit before I got the alignment.

also, I installed a set of ground control springs on PDHAudio83's car when he was here, pretty mucah all the way down. He has 205, 40, 17's iirc and he doesnt rub at all on a 7" +40 offset, and no fender shaving...

H&R springs. Only rubs in the back..sorry forgot to mention that. And according to Rishie's fitment recipe..the sedans do have a bit more room in the rear.
