Mazda CX-5 2.2d SEL
Just like to say hello. I'm a new UK member.
I'm still waiting for of my new shiny Zeal red CX-5. I should be taking delivery on the 25 Sept all being well. I've been waiting 3 months now since placing my order
We seem to be last on the list these days with imported cars. I was told that the Russian and many other European markets take precedence over the UK market these days. How times have changed.
I see that there's been a lot of debate on this forum regarding the i-stop system. I have an explanation that came directly from Mazda which I will copy on to this forum later on. The petrol and diesel i-stop have subtle differences. Also the start motor is involved. I don't know quite how the story got about that the start motor isn't involved.

Hi there Barnstaple Boy (Assume N.Devon)

I pick mine up Sat 1st Sept from Taunton. Like you been waiting 3 Months.

The I-Stop does pick up from from combustion, Not the starter motor. It is mentioned on page 8 of the sales brochure. Must rely on residual pressure in the combustion chamber or exhaust manifold.

Welcome to the club. I've delayed think delivery of mine for a few days to organise the application of paint protection film. Most new cars seem to have thin paint and I think that vertical front end is going to chip easily do want the film on from new
