New member, I NEED HELP

Mazda 3, 2.3. 2006
Hi everyone my name is ashley and I am having issuses with my Ruby(06 mazda3 2.3). My boyfriend is little to no help. It wouldnt start this morning. It had 6 codes for throttle position sensor, thermostat temps too low, and another on thats a coolent with the throttle. He unpluged it and pluged it back in and works now but I dont want to stranded at school or work. Do I need a new thermostat? or a sensor? He just told me its fine PLZ HELP

Thats what I remember him telling the guy at auto parts store. The guy said I probably needed a new thermostat and a TPS? But its probably all one piece. When the light comes back on I will go get the codes and write them down. Thanks Donutz

If one of the codes was p0126 then you likely need a new thermostat. The OEM one has a tendency to stick open. If that is one of the problems then don't buy a cheapo one from an autoparts store, buy the OEM one from the dealer (or a dealer site like onlinemazdaparts). I just replaced mine a week or two ago. The part was about $50, another $20 for coolant as you have to drain the radiator to replace the thermostat. Beyond that you just need a handful of sockets and basic tools to replace it yourself. Easy to do.

Not sure on the throttle position sensor code though. The coolant low code wouldn't keep the car from running though.
