Hello everyone, I just bought an 08 Mazda5 here in Toronto Canada. White GT with leather interior and auto. Only option I didn't get is Nav, since it is a $3,000 option here in Canada. Not worth it in my opinion, considering others on this forum can install a Pioneer nav unit for about $1000. I ordered it almost 3 weeks ago, and dealer said that I won't get one for prob another 2 weeks. I don't know why it takes so long to get one. This looks like a very good site, so looking forward to picking up my car and participating in this site.

Congratulation I also am from Toronto and owns a white 07 I got it sept last year and only have to wait 1 wk. I symphatize I know its hard to wait.

Mine took 4 months... ordered it in May 06, took delivery at the end of September 06. Oh well, I guess I was one of the first with an 07MY on the road, so that's gotta count for something, right? lol (boom07)

Wow, 4 months is a very long time for a minivan. Usually you wait that long for a high end car. But yeah, the wait sucks. Thank you everyone for the nice welcome.

Hello everyone and thank's to all of mazda5 owner for this great forum. 2 months ago I found the forum on google and have been reading the comment that all of you had to talk about since and learn a great deal about the 5. We have just got are's friday night. So far it is great and the girls love it (they are only 4 and 6, anything new and shiny for them is great) I will try to post some picture soon. HENIKA I almost went trough the same waiting period, the only 5 the dealership could find was in the Mazda lot in Vancouver. Lucky me they found one somewhere close by and they brough it in Cambridge for me. I got a Galaxy Grey GS, auto. After driving a fully loaded Nissan Pathfinder for 8 1/2 years, we have decided that some of the option were not needed for us and decided on the GS model. We are both not very big on music so... 1CD is good enough and the fact that my wife never opened the sunroof on the Nissan since the purchase in October 1999, we didn't feel that the GT was worth the extra. Good luck with the excitement of waiting for your 5.

welcome to you too, FIRSTMAZDA5! brand new shiny car is definately exciting stuff... but I'm still excited with my 5 after a year and a half

Reason my wait was 4 months is I ordered it exactly how I wanted it from the factory... so the dealer literally put a new car order into the system, then it was placed in the back of the line, so to speak, for production. Plus this was around the Cougar Ace drama too, so perhaps that put Mazda on a stand-still mode for a bit.
