2010 Mazda3 hatch
Hi everyone, my name's Mike and I'm in NC. Recently, I picked up a 2010 MZ3 as a daily driver to replace my old, beat up Civic I'd had since college. I detail part-time, so I needed something with decent interior space to handle all my crap. I was also looking at WRX wagons, newer Scion xBs, and Audi A3s but the 3 just had everything I was wanting. I've only had it about 4 weeks, but I've been loving it so far. Even though I bought it as a DD, my "weekend car" has been sorta pushed aside, since the MZ3 is so much fun to drive. Anyway, thanks and I look forward to meeting some cool people here.

Wow, so the 3 is more fun to drive than the M3? (boom07) If I had an M3, the MS3 wouldn't be driven at all. LOL.

Either way, welcome to the forum. Like the look of those wheels too. (2thumbs)

I imagine that the m3's power is so high up in rpms any kind of normal driving is out of the picture. Kinda like an s2000

Plus, even an e46's suspension can quickly be dated when you're compairing it to a new car, especially a 3. Mazda did a really good job on the suspension. I thought my old 2007 mz3 was a blast to drive and handled really well

So happy to see someone else put wheels on their car instantly too. I had em on within one week. Ha. Balling M3. how far are you from Hickory?

(and an S2000 was the best car I have ever owned and was way better DD than the MS3 (sorry you hit a nerve/soft spot))

I second the opinion on the M3, I looooooove that car and would be so happy to have one...

Anyways, great wheels! they look amazing! and welcome to the forum!

Honestly, I've never driven one. But I understand its power band compaired to the ms3, and I'm sure when it comes to practical application of power during daily driving with lots of stop lights and traffic, the ms3 should be more favorable

Don't get me wrong...I woulda loved to own an s2k...just not as a dd

Thanks, Skate. I'm in Huntersville, maybe an hour from Hickory. Possibly less.

Yeah, the M is a blast to drive, but once you redline the first 2 gears, you're speeding no matter where you are. The Mazda is just as fun, but in a different way. It's one of the best handling FWD cars I've ever seen, and while it may not be the fastest car on the road, at least I feel like I can wind it out a little without risking instant jail time.

Thanks for the warm welcome though, this seems like a cool place to kill some time. Plus you guys have some awesome smilies!(rlaugh)
