Haha - presumably you haven't got the activematic gearbox then (which is one of the worst automatic gearboxes I've ever owned!)
Seriously though, I've just booked an appointment with my dealer to have this problem investigated. This morning I was showing the problem to one of my neighbours when I noticed another BIG scratch (about 6 inches long) on the roof, just above the rear passenger door (driver's side). It must have appeared yesterday because it's really obvious and there's no way I could have missed it if it had been there before.
Again, I needed to use an umbrella to block out the bright sky but you can see it quite easily in this photo.
