I saw them up close and yes they are. The only difference is the mazda logo on them...

Ok I talked to a Salesperson.
This is the Protege DX with a body kit.

But here they are offering the Protege DX with a 2.0 liter engine.... Do all the Pros now have the 2.0liter engine as a base engine?

I din't know this..

when I bought my 2000 a year ago the dealer tried to sell me a 2001 and I turned it down cause at that time they told me my rate was 16.9% and it was way up there so I took the 2000.. wish I had known that two weeks later after they sent my stuff in it would come back and say I actually got 7.9% interest!! ahh.. anyway point is the dealer told me all the new ones had 2.0 motors in them

They said (Mazda) will eventually offer it everyone.
Oh well.....

I translated some of the options that are only options if you have a dx model.

The spolier is factory on the US LX and ES models, Looks like the front fascia is a factory ES with out the foglights, I dont know bout the lip spolier, and the side skirts look like the mazdaspeed ones that corksport sells. Overall it's ok...but not great looking IMHO.
