That should say it all. I don't know who you were talking to but they shouldn't be talking about things they don't know about.

Cold air intake, since its under warranty, a Mazdaspeed Intake is the way to go. A Mazdaspeed flywheel since its under warranty wouldn't hurt, replace your plugs wires and ignition coils (Colonial Mazda says about every 15K) and carry a quart of oil in your trunk. I've stuck with regular 5w20 non synthetic oil and I haven't had an issue so I continue to use it. Premium fuel, and check your oil once every 2 or 3 fill ups. I burn through a quart every 2500-3000 miles and thats when I usually change my oil anyway. Ive had no issues at all.

Do u know anything about a K&N typhoon cold air intake? Also ive been looking at exhaust systems know any good ones besides borla

I had an Injen CAI on my car and it was junk and it was a somewhat similar set up to K&N's intake as its in the engine bay. K&N makes some great products but I'd rather have a true cold air intake as the ones from AEM and Mazdaspeed go right into the grille and take in some fresh air. When I am driving my Intake Air Temperatures are just a degree or two above ambient which is great. Borla is a good one, but I went custom since I didn't want any back pressure as these cars are meant to breathe. Racing Beat makes a great one, its a 3" which allows for better air flow, its not excessively loud and its made very well.
