New Mazda Club

OK, my turn to chim in! We have a great bunch a people here in this area that love to get together. So we have step one of forming a club out of the way. Now we need to go to step two. I made this promise to Amber and Lisa on the phone yesterday and I said it when I first came to promazda, I will do anything for the club and it's members. This is what I love! I come to work and I have no one to talk car stuff with and at home my g/f doesnt want to hear it either. I love going out and meeting up with people and talking about cars and all sorts of s***! I hope and I can tell that you guys out there feel the sameway as I do. We do need to get together and talk all this over asap. One thing that I have to stress is that the forums are just a form of communications. But this form communications has its flaws. The forums have to be used as tool to get us together. The main communictation has to be done off of the forums. This I promise will clean s*** up. It is easier to express your feeling in a one on one type setting. I have some ideas but again I think we need to get together and work this out offline. That way everyone that wants to put some input in.

i think finn is puttin together a hit list.....i like the metro mazda name......are we tryin to be professional....maybe "md/dc metro mazda"?

to take it a bit further on boxs idea MDC Metro Mazda and we can get the logo to use the "D" as a shared thing for the MD and DC part.
but this might hurt the feelings of the VA people... hmmm

Hey am I on that list! :p

I'm not too keen on the Metro Mazda name w/out a MD/DC/VA sort of thing attached to it, otherwise it sounds kinda like a dealership. Just as long as we don't go w/something all fantastical sounding. We need something sharp and attention grabbing - a nice anagram goes well too. Like MMMDCVA Metro Mazda MD/DC/VA. I dunno, haven't had my coffee yet this morning. :p

I'm pretty new to the forum but I would love to joing any Mazda group. My family owns a sign and graphics shop in Springfield, VA. If anyone designs the logo, put it in vector eps artwork and send me the attachment and I can make decals if anyone wants some for **FREE**(any size, any color!). If you need any help with the logo I have 3 full time designers ready to go!

Thanks for stealing my thunder man...:D Just kidding

Right now I am looking at thermal printers and a couple different size plotters. I've got to set up shop!

Well, for right now I'm taking the "Pro" part off my ProMazda Decal so whatever we decide I'll just tack it on to that one. :p J/k! I am taking the Pro off though, unfortunately.

When someone originally from California moves to another state.

(rlaugh)
someone that transfers into or out of California.. Ha hahahaha

I had no idea that there where this many MSP owners in the northern VA area! How bout MMC - MAZDASPEED MOTORIST CLUB. Well I gave it my two cents, any one that comes up with a logo go ahead and email it to stabaka@hotmail.com. And then send messages with different sizes and colors. We are pretty quiet this week. Everytime a holiday comes near the phones never ring in my office. Are there any weekly or monthly meets locally in NOVA or DC?

How about we expand Mazdateam to have an NOVA/DC chapter? (lol)

hahah.

"MTMA" already stole our simple name anyways.

maybe take out the "speed" part...not all cars are msp's...unless you want to try to generalize it like "mazdaspeed motorsports"...

Remember guys...don't worry so much about the name right now. At this point that isn't the most important thing. Make sure that everyone agrees on a mission statement and rules for the club if there are to be any. The name will come, but I would rather be in a club with no name than a club with no direction.
