New mazda 6i owner

New here, decided to buy an 08 mazda 6i. Its got 47,000 miles and im enjoying the car. Future plans are to slap on the mazda speed 6 turbo kit and thats about it. Im just here to learn mainly.

Welcome. I'm making my first post too, 08 Mazda6i also with about the same miles, in fact. What's this about the turbo kit? How easy is that to do?

from what ive heard on another forum the ms6 stock turbo kit is a direct bolt on.

yes and ive been told to only push around 8 psi. the problem i have is what`s the better tuning device?

I didn't. They're both the 2.3L MZR, right? What's the difference?

Welcome and good luck with the build, it's not that easy from what I've heard. And no, they are not the exact same engine. The MS6 is direct injection while regular 2.3's are port injection. Theres a lot more stuff down the road but Mazda didn't just slap a k04 on the 4 banger and call it a day lol.

the internals are different as well. cant put alot of psi to them. probably a good idea to use a bigger turbo with more volume rather than cramming psi down the throat of the 6i 2.3l. im not really shooting for much power thats why im just going with the mazda speed 6 setup with around 8psi
