How about the warrenty thing? Will it void it?
only if that part causing something to break.. like any other mod. depends on how strict your dealer is.

Thanks Nutari! I'll look into this. IF this thing is ordered, it does come with all the parts needed for complete install, even the egr pipe tekki was talking about??Jus wish it was 149 again, i would buy this thing now...

Ken has to answer that.

all there is on the protegegarage site is this

it does not come with the EGR. we plug the hole with a 1/2 inch threaded cap which is fine to drive on. the only downside is a check engine light for "insufficient egr flow". this does not affect drivability. we will add the EGR pipe as an option on the site very soon.

Coolness....I'll be on the lookout for that option. How about the GB that was a while ago on the mazda3club for this item. You suppose there will be another GB sometime this month??

Maybe you should include an extra cap for the header/exhaust mani side of the egr pipe? Havent really researched this yet but is that an option?

we might do that as well, but i have a feeling most people are going to opt to buy the egr solution when we start to offer it.

when i say buy, i mean that we make no profit, zero, on the egr tube. the absolute best cost i could negotiate with them was $50 per tube. i priced out tekkie's solution and locally it came within $10 of that.

No way to just trick the egr sensor like the o2 sensors?

theres a solution for this, you could reroute to the valve cover nipple, and there you have the flow needed or, you could cut the pipe close to the IM, leaving the longest part of it connected to the Exh Mani and then use some kind of heat resistnt pipe to do a bridge between both.

There has to be a change in manifold pressure when the egr is opened and

closed, or the ecu will throw a CEL (insufficient flow). I made a plate to block

the egr and i am getting this CEL, what i will problably do is drill some holes

into the plate causing a small vacuum leak so the ECU will be happy.

This place has a lot of little electronics like that,
Baker Electronics
I believe they also used to make a EGR Sim too. I know I found a place that did.....I found it...
ZZ Performance

the link i had did not work to their site so i did a search on zz performance and searched their site then i found it.

When I do get this mani soon, I will probablly go with the erg pipe just to save me the hassle of rerouting. For $50 your install is much easire and without worries.

Any members with this mani, that can tell us about the gains. Ken, do you guys have the dyno sheets for the mani, just curious.
