Well, after waiting for their paypal to become available again, I sent in payment. Unfortunately, the China has a national holiday around the first of May, and I'm being told they need some extra time to make the modification to make it NTSC compatible so that has added a delay.

Supposedly it will get shipped out next tues. I'll keep you guys posted.

Seems hardly worthwhile to have modifications to make it NTSC compatible when it will become obsolete on June 12. If they can do modifications, why not make it ATSC compatible?

I got the small camera, and when light levels get low it auto tints to a greenish/semi black and white...still has a clear picture as well.

It actually has a handful of IR LED's on it for nighttime. These lights aren't visible to the naked eye but camera's still pick them up like normal light. You can actually look at a TV remote through a Digital camera and see the light being emitted from the IR diode....same concept, bigger IR LEDS (2thumbs)

Yeah I don't know why.. I didnt even order the TV. But maybe it's cause of the DVD player.

Just as an update to everyone...

I did get my radio today! It's the same physical unit as the DSS radio, but it's running a different software which isn't as nice. It also doesn't control the clock and trip computer, so I'm guessing that's a software issue.

I'm going to ask the vendor if it is possible to update the software to the DSS version.

Any update on your unit? Figure out how to make the trip computer work? Any other differences you've noticed compared the the DSS version?

I'd be interested to see how your software differs...any pictures?

Also, there are officially different versions. The original was called the '3035', now it looks like there are others called the '5035' and '3635'.

Harness is 110% Plug and play AND works with the bose system no different wiring required. There is a Brown male cable marcked "Amp C" that you plug into a female rca wire marked "AMP C" and thats ll she wrote. Trip computer still works and clock and everything else. 10 minute install IF that its only really 4 screw total to move this thing. The route 66 software they gave me wote boot up though it keeps crashing. I found one of the system files empty im wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Most any GPS you can install to an SD card (and run from the SD card, not in the unit's main memory) should work, as long as it is Windows CE compatible- TomTom, Route66, Finean, and a few others. But you'd have to buy the software yourself.
