New Guy Question About HKS BOV??

Sorry for the ignorance I just picked up an MS6 with an HKS BOV. If the thick rubber hose is attached is it set for the rec mode? It puts out a decent whistle but I'm new to turbo cars and I'm not sure of the difference. But it seems the common thought here is VTA is lame.. I honestly don't know the difference and thought i would start looking here. Thanks

Recirc your car will run normal.. NO backfire issue not as rich between shifts etc. It will also I think affect response times between shifts if not in recirc mode as in throttle response possibly. That being said I have run it in both modes I like VTA but as stated the car is designed for recirc and will run more normal with it this way.

Thank you so rec. looks like the way to go, I guess I'm just not clear if my car is set up this way or VTA. How would I be able to tell?
 
You bought the car like that? Looks like you got your self quite a modified Speed6(drive2)

Thanks Man.. Yea I think I lucked out.. Its a fun commuter/family car! lol I'm sticking with the rec for sure.
 
dont know if it will wrk for u but wat us msp guys do if u relly wnt to vta again dont know if it will wrk for you but we move our maf and bov to the cold side of the turbo pipe that runs frm intercooler to the intake mani first we put 6 inch of piping then maf then 6 more inch then bov then rest of tubing to intercooler the reason we have to recirc is because when u vta the maf sensor goes haywire and is like where did that air go so starts acting up stallin n bogging out so that our fix might wanto to ask around if thats a fox for u to

moving the maf in this car wil result in lots of tuning issues that will need to be worked out. The IAT sensor will be what really gets screwed up.
