New guy needs help!

hey guys, just wanted to tell you how happy I am with my new car!

I have a few questions though:

I bought a cone filter and it actually felt like I had lost a little power......can this happen??

Also I installed a boost guage...but when I get to full boost it goes to 4 PSI, I think I might have a leak, but I most likely just installed it wrong.

the filter thing, there is a fan blowing hot air onto the filter.
boost thing, you prolly have a leak.

Check your lines, should be 5-6 showing on there.

if you just bought the car you need to take it in to get it checked out. it is under warranty right?

the whole filter/loss of power thing, i agree that it's prolly cause you're getting hotter air. maybe a heat shield? i was gonna get an injen filter and heat shield. if you get a heat shield, lemme know if it helps.

Yeah, I was really worried on my power loss with filter when I put it on:wtf:......I think I am just going to to the custom CAI or maybe a Injen.....not sure yet...

I still want to do a Down pipe too....but I dont want a CEL light.....damn so much to do, but I want to make sure teh products I put on the car are safe and wont throw codes.....
