Okay, been browsing this site for a while now for cool things I can do with my Mazda 2.
Now that everything is all said and done, here are the questions.
So heres what ive done so far, I took out the stock head unit and put in my own.
Being fairly young and excited about getting my first car and wanting to make it go "boom boom"
I cut off the wire harness and wired it directly to the new head unit, and I lost the harness.
It works just fine, but I plan on getting a new headunit (one of the android ones) and
I would like to go back and do it the right way, so where can I buy the wire harness? (preferably male and female ends)
My sound system is composed of two Boss 12' Subwoffers (which fit just right in the back) that run at 1400 watts each.
I have those on a 2 channel 1000 watt amp.
I have 4 kicker KS60 6-1/2'' 65 watt rms in the doors, which is being powered by the headunit I put in (100 watts) no amp.
Then I have 4 6x9's on a speaker board I custom made to fit in the back where the
hatch cover thing that goes up and down when you open the hatch should be. (it goes up and down when you open the hatch too)
Which they are all 1000 watt speakers and I have them running on a 500 watt amp that has them each at 100 rms.
So basically I want to know besides the wire harness:
what kind of amp should I get for the door speakers?
What kind of power is the alternator putting out?
How much power can the stock battery hold?
What are good alternative alternator/batteries?
I also have handfuls of leds around the car for the interior glow look, hooked up to a switch board under the driver seat for 12v accessories.
Basically I want to know what the safe power ranges are for the current battery setup.
P.s.- Can you remove the center console without damaging the 12v and AUX set ups?
Look sorry if I didnt describe the proper information to help answer the questions im asking, please let me know what else I should add.
Take it easy on me. Thanks so much in advance for even bothering to read this.
