(2thumbs) it looks like your car has the same ground clearance as the lawnmower (refer to first picture) :p

so how strong are the 90-93 miata motors? how long do they last under boost? btw, very nice car.

The stock motors will take 15psi no problem. But before I did all of this I did a timing belt and water pump job. While doing this I checked the crank nose for wear on the keyway (89-early 90 Miatas have problems with the crank keyway) and all was fine. But I did replace the gear unit and used loctite on the new keyway.

The car is a blast and its only at 8psi. Im not really into that "hey I can go faster in a str8 line than you". I am addicted to drifting so thats really where I play with the power. The car was much easier to drift stock, this is true. Its like having to relearn everything over again with the hp difference. Figure I roughly gained 95-100 hp from the work I did....and still have a good amount of room to play. (thumb)

On the streets I can keep up with alot of cars...fooled around with an STI on the highway....and had a respectable race with a rhd silvia. The car is by no means a total monster....but for drifting...it makes me very happy....boiiiyyiong... (humpleg)

Thanks for the kind words

Hey there...Miata.net is an old school community...Glad you found us and Welcome!

Thanks for sharing your pics...I hope you stick around and bring over some of your Miata.net friends ;)

That's a really clean Miata (or do the cool cats say "MX-5"?) How much have you spent on it including the car?

where in CT do you reside? Im from litchfield and storrs.

Danbury.....neighbors to New Milford, New Fairfield, Bethel, and Brookfield.....

Ive been on jobs sites your way though....much of a different type of community that way. I have actually taken the Miata that way a couple times for some nice rides. Less traffic and nicer scenery for sure! (thumb)
