Hi Derek, welcome to the club! Be sure to check out the NEPOC section for local meets and gatherings. It started as a "Protege" club but it has grown to include all Mazda models and we even have members who don't own Mazdas.

I paid $24,700 for my 2006 MS6 GT back in February (before tax/title/registration). From what I have heard, they aren't offering the same deals on 2007 models but you should be able to get invoice minus incentives. Don't accept a price anywhere near the sticker price for them. They are not a hot item no matter what the sales guy tells you. Keep your enthusiasm low and let the sales guy know you will be buying a car "today" and you plan to stop at the subaru dealership to look at their AWD selection. That'll rough their panties a little and force them to make a deal if they want to unload their stock.

Was at the dealer today, they had red and black MS6's and a MS3 on the lot. I didn't notice the trim level on the MS6's, got distracted driving the Black MS3 GT (Holy "rip the tires off the rims", Batman!) My salesman tells me there's good incentives lately on MS6's, as good as the 06's were back in January when I got my '07. So Chuyler's right, they're trying to move them. I have purchased 3 Mazdas from them and I can say they really are customer oriented, I recommend them. New London Lincoln Mercury-Mazda. New London, Ct. Jay's the Mazdaspeed guy, knows his stuff.

Now that the MS3s are a hot item, I'm sure the MS6s are being brushed under the carpet. They are done production so what is out there is what you've got to choose from. Ask about a demo car too, many of the managers are using MS6s as their personal cars so they will be quote-unquote used/demo but not beaten to hell like a customer demo. If they have any, you can expect them to take an additional 500-1000 off the price (not much but every little bit counts). Don't ask about demos until you have negotiated a price...but before you talk about any trade-in. If you do things in steps it will take longer...and it is best to go in right before lunch or at closing time so the sales guy is tired of you and hungry when it comes to dealing prices.
