New Fun-Run

bah - I coulda made this and forgot all about it. oh well...

whenever it is again.

It's all good. It ended up being just MakeMeGoFast and myself on the run but it was still good. There were some parts that were EXTREAMLY awesome and I made sure to remember where they were for future reference.

In a couple weekends maybe? There are a few more roads I could throw into the mix depending how many people we get. Still would keep the flow, though they would just be tough to do with a large group.

if theres too many people just get another person to lead so theres two groups, but keep me updated im in depending on the day

just make sure u guys get everything down pat (radios, having a tail car, etc)

Bumping this thread to remind myself to bump at a better time.....lol.

lol 3 year bump...nice

Yeah...lol. I was thinking to myself about trying to get a few from the forum for something like this. Figured I start a thread and then I realized I already have one started.

Anyway, what time is good for everyone?

just a quick snapshot of the route.

Of you interested, what do you think of an ass crack of dawn run? I mean during the day the possibility of traffic is pretty good. And going after dark can get pretty sketchy if you don't know the roads to well.

well the idea of a fun run is roads that people wouldn't normally go on (windy-back roads). plus the earlier u have to make it, people have to get up even earlier to get there. last one i went to start at 11am ended at like 3pm (it was a long one), but it worked out great.

I'm not talking horrible traffic, just 1 or 2 cars that would slow the pace. This is only about 40 miles long, but its packed with a lot of twisties. I'm not big on endless runs just for the sake of driving.

^I've been on a lot of those roads before...1 or 2 cars can make it the most boring drive in the world. Most people drive 5 to 10 under the posted speed limit. No car in front of you can make them freaking awesome - good tyres are a must.

As for going early AM...could be fun. The northern area of that I am not too familiar with but I know out my way you have to be careful of Amish out in the early AM. Blind Corners and hills = too many close calls with the ass end of a horse and Buggy
