New front calipers but no fluid?

I replaced my front calipers today and have an issue.
On my drivers side I can not get any (just a drip every now and again) fuid to come out of the hose. I noticec thiz when I tried to bleed the brakes.
Passanger side s good and has good pressure.

Drivers side, not so good.

I replacd the calopers due to sticky calipers but overall the brakes worked okay

so nothing out the hose, with the caliper disconnected? Hmm could it be the ABS locking it up somehow?

Nothing comes out at all. Could it be air locked by a nunch of air?
I don't thunk my car has ABS.

I am going to harbor freight tomorrow to get a pressure bleeder. Maybe that will help.

Do/can the hoses get blocked?

Yes, the interior of the hose can deterioate and act like a check valve. I've had several vehicles where I've had to replace the flexible section of hose.

Okay. I hooked up a vacuum bleeder to the driver and pass side front and i get fluid from the pass side but not the driver's side. when I push/pump the brake pedal it doesn't frim up like i would expect.

Also, if the hose is blocked wouldn't the pedal get frim?

I am tempted to blow air into the caliper to see if I get air to pass to the master cylinder?

I have no fluid leaking out of the system. Maybe the mastercylinder is bad?

Cheers

Dont blow air up it.. Bleed your passenger side rear line a bit and then try the left front some more. If that is no help logic suggests you work your way up the brake line, from the caliper to the master cylinder. Rule out the caliper. Loosen the line on the back and see if you get fluid. If not then you go the the next joint and so on all the way up to the master cylinder if you have to.

I bought a vacuum bleeded kit. It worked well on the passanger side. On the drivers side i can not get any fluid to come out and I have no pedal pressure at all. I then removed the drivers side front hard line from the MC and I could get a suction from the MC end of the line. So that indicates the hose and hard line are clear.

I guess the MC is now bad? There are no parts places with a MC local to me. 2-3 days to get one.

I will remove the MC and see what i see.

Thanks

If your saying you pulled the line off the MC and sucked in the direction of Caliper to MC then you could still have a problem with the rubber line off the caliper. When they go bad they act as one way valves sometimes. In this case you need fluid to come from the MC to the caliper. Being able to suck from the caliper to the MC isnt 100% ruling it out.

Get a friend and have them be your brake pedal guy. Start at the line in the back of the caliper and work your way up the line at every line connection opening each one till you get fluid or get to the MC.

On a side note the brake lines are split diagonal. The left front and right rear are on the same side. To do a full bleed of the line you have to start the farthest away from the MC. That would be the right rear first. Then the left front. Im sure by now there's tons of air in the lines

try gravity bleeding...i swapped to mazda 6 brakes on my p5 and the only bleeding that would work was gravity bleeding

Thanks. I did not know they were split diagnolly. I recheck and my right rear and left front have no pressure. The other two are fine.

I tried to bleed all 4 but i cannot build any pressure at the pedal.

you have a ton of air in your lines, as others have suggested bleed the mc first, then start at the furthest wheel from the mc and work towards the closest wheel.

and remember air will always travel to the highest point in the system.

Thanks again guys. I have two new hoses and a new MC on the way to me this week. I'll update this post once i get the system working.

Cheers

throwing parts at the car is not going to fix the problem, you need to actually bleed the air out of your system

Keno, i am not throwing parts at the car. I guess I wasn't as clear as I could have been.
Since i have a hoses and a MC on the way i am waiting until it arrives before I mess with the car again. The hoses are a good thing to replace and the MC is just incase. If my current MC is good I will just return the MC to the local store.

I will install the hoses on Thursday, bench bleed the original MC, and the bleed the whole system (rr, lr, rf, lf). If I cannot get any pressure to build in the system I will replace the MC.

Thanks

You shouldnt need any new parts if they worked ok before you started messing with them, but its your car and your money, do what you want to...i was just trying to save you some money

The car is fixed. Thanks for the help guys. It turns out the MC was bad (must have happened when I tried to bleed the system the first time) .

I replace the front hoses, front calipers, MC, and rear caliper (bleed valve broke).

Cheers
