98 Mazda 626
Hey everyone. Well I just bought my first non American vehicle. I picked up a decent 98 Mazda 626 with only 67700 miles 2.0 5 speed. The interior is immaculate beige leather. Im aware of the timing belt thats going to need to be replaced soon. Was also curious of anything else that I should be on the look out for???? other common issues????? also what can I do as far as a short ram intake on it....I cant find anything online..... ill get some pics up of it tomorrow when I get it registered and home.

Also Im very mechanically inclined, but mostly with domestics, always been a Chevy guy. Last car was a 98 Cavalier 2.2 5 speed that I had a bit of work done to it and ended up with a spun main bearing.

Not to burst your bubble, but the 626 is pretty much American being built and assembled in Flat Rock Michigan from 1990-2002. I live about a mile down the road from the plant and my Dad works there. But the car is nice, we had one for a few years with a v6, was a great car! I'm actually looking at an 01 2.0 currently for a DD to save on miles from my 07 speed3.
