New forum classification "Running Gear"?

Ahh someone noticed [emoji6] Yeah, I've been wanting to simplify and reduce the length of our forum titles for a while now and I came up with "Running Gear" which Google defines as...

"the moving parts of a machine, especially the wheels, steering, and suspension of a vehicle."

...To replace "Rims, Tires, Brakes & Suspension"

Why? To reduce clutter on the main index page and streamline the forum ID process on tapatalk...Think of it as a form of pruning...Does it not make sense?

I guess. People will continue to misclassify posts anyway, no matter what the headings are.

guys.. my CX-5 is currently parked outside, so I can't go out and check this myself.

Could one of you go out and measure the trunk to make sure my Nike size 9.5 running shoes will fit?

I also use shorts and a t-shirt when I go running.. will those fit in the cx-5?

I get it...absolutely correct use of the new classification!

Yes, just send me the items and I will check. I will also give you a review on how they fit.

I can't see your address in your profile.
I have the items boxed up and ready to ship. I'll pay you 1,000 USD for your help.
I already have a check written out for 3,000 but I trust you so just cash it and send me 2,000 back via western union.

I don't like "running gear". While perhaps it is technically correct, I doubt that most people if asked what "running gear" refers to on a car would have no idea. Including me. What's the advantage to reducing the length of the category names?? Shorter if less clear is not an improvement.

I think of an engine (and the drive train) when you say 'running gear'. An engine that is operating is said to be 'running'.

Running Gear : Nikes, Adidas, Puma`s, and PME Legends ?

I have to agree that it is confusing...

Maybe make it 2 categories? "Wheels and Tires" as one, and "Brakes and Suspension" as the other?(scratch)

+1
