New CX-7 owner

I just wanted to say hello.

I'm a 2008 Black Cherry Mica CX-7 GT owner, just picked it up last night!

Wow I love the color. I must have went out to the garage 5 times just to wipe it down and check it out. Didn't get home from the dealer until 10:30pm last night!

I've owned a few Mazdas in the past. Traded in an 01 Tribute ES V6 fully loaded that we bought new.

I also have a supercharged 91 Miata.

I wish Mazda would have put a damn audio jack for MP3 players in it. They have one in the new CX-9 inside the center armrest box. My wife thought the CX-9 was too big so we went for the CX-7.

They sure are work keeping clean! I love the color but she's shows every dust spot and streak if your not careful.

Just cleaned her up today with 250 miles on her, not incuding daily wipe downs!

I plan on removing the dealer name decals as soon as I figure out how. That sucks that they slipped them on there before delivery. Any ideas how to carefully remove them with out damage? Solvent? Don't want to damage the paint.

Take it to the dealer and make them remove it. I had mine completely debadged of dealer related stuff, badges, stickers, and license plate covers. Told them, I just paid you $30000 for this car, now unless you are going to give some of it back... take off all that free advertising you are trying to get away with. They were happy to oblige.

The Black Cherry kept popping into my mind no matter how much I know about keeping it clean.....so I bought one tonight, a week after my wife bought her silver CX-7. I wanted the black interior and thought they only came in Sand....glad I was wrong. You just never know what color it's gonna be when you go look at it. Looks black in my garage. I used to love Black Cherry soda when I was a kid.....

Congratulations! I've got black cherry mica CX-7 GT AWD (+tech package) last week, and I love this color.

I was looking for silver, but it looks a lot better in black cherry.
