New CM clutch already fried?

I recently installed a clutch masters stage II-R clutcha nd fidanza flywheel from R-R racing (probably 6 months abgo) and have put about 15K miles ont he clutch thus far.


Well today I noticed it slipping pretty bad in 5th gear at anyhting passed 4K, and hten sometimes in 4th gear if I slam it around 4K, is this possible????????

Dude!!!! Same thing...at least I think it is my clutch...it is slipping BAD. I have had mine for about 10 months now.

Not sure if it is the Clutch or the LSD...(MSP LCD Failures). I have the IIR also.

I can engage the clutch...but if i moderately floor it...the RPMs go up ...but not my speed..then it catches...if I let off...

I never drop my clutch...nor do really race....

How can you tell its the clutch?

I would be super pissed if it were. From what it sounds like, it might be the clutch. Could something come loose?

The only real way to tell is to pop the tranny and look. Also pray to someone that your clucth isn't fried.

Could it be something with the axles too maybe? Just thinking.

search for my thread... my stage 3 CM failed in 10,000 miles 8,000 boosted miles I have an act now... no problems up to 13psi 10 daily

Yo YP5, it's your clutch. i would get that change as soon as you can. You never no when it will totally fail now(sad2)

if anyone needs a good clutch, go with SPEC. I can get them for you otherwise.

a few people are running them, great clutches. Linux is running one...

s***, I guess I know the news now.... Sucks!!!!!! I went with CM because I've read a lot bad about ACT being too harsh on the tranny- but I guess it's better then going out after 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF....

It's not something that needs to be changed right away- but it's on the outs and will need to be one of my next mods. Looks like I'll be calling Beau about a spec clutch.

Damn...I have been reviewing clutch posts on the probetalk board, WRX boards, and EVO boards...

Clutches are like ice cream...everyone has their own favorite...and everyone has ones they dislike.

I need a new clutch asap...and I want to do it right... I am definately staying away from CM.....

Just spoke with Beau and he wasn't suprised... I'm going with the hybrid Spec clutch that he has them build. I think it's the same clutch Linux installed and he loves it.
