Hey guys, I was thinking if anyone knows if I can change my carpet, should I ask the dealer, or is there a site from where I can buy the carpet and change it myself. I had my license suspended so I gave my car to my father to drive it, and he really destroyed my carpet. There is like dried sea salt because of the snow... and I am sure that everyone has a problem with the passenger side carpet. It anyone has any thoughts, ideas please reply. Thanks

Did he destroy the actual carpet or the floor matts... ?? I would suggest hiring a professional detailer and/or carpet cleaner before making the decision to change the whole carpet... you basically have to strip the seats off and the inside trim pieces... labor intensive if you have it done by anyone

I have an interesting story regarding mazda carpets. I was leasing a 2005 Mazda3 hatch up until a year ago. When I picked the car up, it didn't come with floor mats. I drove it for 6 months with no mats and ended up with a huge hole where my heel rested when not on the throttle. I somehow convinced Mazda to replace it under warranty even though it was my own damn fault for having no mats.

In answer to your question, new carpet is available through Mazda but I doubt you've get it under warranty like I did.
