Any former CX-7 owners get a CX-9? Wondering how you think it compares and whether you like the move up? I'm contemplating getting another CX-7 or moving up to the CX-9...

I don't really need the space, but wondering how you think it drives?

I'm in Colorado and go to the mountains (high altitude) a lot. I have a 2007 CX-7 Grand Touring. Only things I don't like about it are that I had it in the shop a few times for transfer case issues, road noise and have to really punch it to get the Turbo to kick in when trying to start fast.

BTW my name is Jeff as well....

Mine CX9 was ordered about a month ago, should be here within another month.

Thanks.. That thread helped. I did search. A lot. Just couldn't find too many good threads. In fact I think the search engine had a hard time picking up just the CX-7 CX-9.. terms. It wasn't returning stuff.

I was also interested in if anyone compared them in the mountains at high altitude. Typically non-turbo engines lose HP in high altitude, where Turbo engines don't. I'd be interesting in hearing how the two compared when going up into the mountains. That's my biggest fear with a NA engine, I'd be back around the same HP with a heavier car.

I live in Denver, and love taking my 09 CX-9 up the mountains towards Breckenridge and such (as long as there isn't traffic or snowplows on the road) as I can put the pedal down and easily fly up the hills passing others. No real comparison to the CX-7 as I have never driven one.
